Before starting your job:
- Activate NetID
- Reference email from your Unit/Division HR contact for instructions
- Complete Employment Verification (I-9)
- Complete Direct Deposit
- Complete W-4 Tax Withholding
- Complete Criminal Background Check (if applicable)
Within 30 days of starting your job:
- Required activities
- Complete Cybersecurity Training
- Complete Preventing Sexual Harassment and Sexual Violence Training
- Complete 30-day Goal Setting with supervisor
- Complete a Remote Work Agreement if you have the support of your supervisor and unit to work a remote schedule
- Recommended activities
- Obtain Wiscard (campus ID)
- Attend UW-Madison’s New Employee Orientation (NEO)
- Attend Benefits 101 to learn about benefit offerings
- Enroll in Benefits
- Sign-up for WiscAlert Emergency Alert System
- Provide Emergency Contact information in MyUW
- Your supervisor will inform you if you need to:
- Complete forms to receive access to University systems
- Complete Title IX Responsible Employee Training
