About

Research and Sponsored Programs (RSP) has signing authority, binding the UW to grants, contracts and other agreements. Agreements (i.e., contracts) should not be signed by faculty or other staff (this may result in the loss of IP, publication, or other rights).

Process

Agreements require routing through the RAMP system, UW’s proposal and agreement routing system, to the Division for review (you may work with your department research administrator to assist you with creating an agreement record in RAMP).

After Divisional review, the document will be advanced to RSP for negotiation and signature.
