Auxiliary Operations (136 Funds)
Fund 136 Auxiliary Operations, often referred to as Fee-for-Service or Revenue Producing Activities, are managed collaboratively between CALS Research Division and CALS Business Services.
REVENUE PRODUCING ACTIVITY (RPA) / FEE FOR SERVICE (FFS)
- Support UW’s goal of identifying new revenue streams
- Include hundreds of services we provide to citizens and research partners
- Involve predefined or repetitive process
- Do not add to the body of fundamental knowledge in a given field

ROUTING 136 FUND DOCUMENTS
All Auxiliary Operation documents must be routed through RAMP.
Requires a FFS agreement signed by RSP and the FFS partner/sponsor:
- Becky Lowery and Sarah Rudnick on CALS Research team will help navigate the contract process

- Your department administrator can get the RAMP record started by following the Job Aides under RAMP Agreements (New and Amendments)
- Please ensure that the record lists Rebecca Lowery or Sarah Rudnick as the Primary Contact
ESTABLISHING A 136 ACCOUNT AND RATE STRUCTURE
- If a new 136 account needs to be established, please contact Deb Juneau to complete the forms
- RPA Questionnaire: your unit administrator will be able to help fill in the blanks
- Cash Flow Worksheet: Deb can facilitate populating the worksheet
- Additionally, if you need assistance developing rates, please contact Deb Juneau
