Promoting a Culture That Helps Prevent Hostile & Intimidating Behavior

Resource Description

As a campus we must move toward a culture that helps prevent HIB from occurring before it begins. The responsibility for preventing it rests with every individual; those in positions of authority – department chairs, supervisors, managers – bear a special responsibility to help ensure that HIB does not happen, and when it happens, to deal with it effectively. Ignoring HIB is not an option.

This resource is a list of tools and tips from Campus to create a healthy climate that is free of hostile and intimidating behavior, harassment, or other forms of potentially destructive behavior.
