Understanding Physical Plant Costs
The Service Level Guide provides a reference for services that the department pays for (referred to as “chargeback services”) versus services that campus pays for as part of baseline maintenance.
Use this guide if you want clarity on general maintenance cost responsibility, including utilities, custodial, grounds, pest removal, paint, etc.

Types of Capital Projects
State Capital Projects
State capital projects are funded by any combination of General Fund Supported Borrowing, Program Revenue Supported Borrowing, or cash. See “Funding Source Options” below for details.

UW Managed projects are funded only by cash (see “Funding Source Options” below for details).

Funding Source Options
Project funding determines the processes and partners. Here are the types of funding:
